The Reds sign off the season at the Wham Stadium against Luton Town.

The play-off chasing Hatters head north looking to end Stanley’s fine home record in 2017.

Stanley’s unbeaten run may be over but there’s still plenty to play for as they come onto the pitch at the Wham Stadium for the final time in 16/17.

Play-off hopes are slim after defeat at Newport but the Reds will be keen to bounce back at the first time of asking.

John Coleman’s side will want to send the home fans home happy ahead of the summer.

Stanley’s 15 match unbeaten run came to an end with a 1-0 away defeat to Newport at Rodney Parade.

Their home record remains intact though, with no defeats at the Wham Stadium in 2017 amounting to eleven games unbeaten, the best home record since 2011.

Coleman’s men are 13th in League Two, four points outside the play-off places.

Team News

Stanley captain Seamus Conneely is likely to return to the squad for the game.

He missed the defeat at Newport due to the birth of his first child but has now returned to training.

Other than that there are no major problems with the majority of the squad fit and available.

After earning promotion to the Football League prior to the 2014/15 season, the Hatters are in their third campaign back in League Two.

They started this season well, establishing themselves as one of the leading contenders for promotion to the third tier.

They’re fourth in League Two ahead of kick off and close to securing their play-off spot.

They beat Stanley in a league game at Kenilworth Road in November but were beaten in the FA Cup at the Wham Stadium earlier this year.

Nathan Jones was appointed as John Still’s successor in January 2016.

A former coach and assistant manager at Brighton, Charlton and Yeovil, he was a player at Kenilworth Road in 1995 but left without making an appearance.

Jones spent a year in Spain before returning to the UK and playing for Southend, Brighton and Yeovil where he went onto make over 500 appearances.
