Stanley pair Shay McCartan and John Coleman have been nominated for Sky Bet League Two’s divisional awards.

McCartan’s recent form has put him in the frame for League Two Player of the Month, with Coleman guiding the Reds to a 12 match unbeaten streak and seeing his name put forward for League Two Manager of the Month.

No player in the top four divisions of English football scored more goals in March than McCartan, who found the net six times including a number of his now trademark free kicks.

He bagged both goals in the win at local rivals Morecambe in a month that saw Stanley leap up the table.

He’s up against Blackpool’s Brad Potts, Plymouth playmaker Graham Carey and Charlie Lee of Stevenage.

The Reds won five of their seven matches in March, drawing the other two, leading to Coleman’s nomination.

He faces competition from the Blackpool managerGary Bowyer, Crewe boss Dave Artell and Plymouth manager Derek Adams.

The winners of the Sky Bet monthly awards will be announced on Friday.
