Accrington Stanley stand sponsor WM Dyer Electrical has demonstrated further support for the club by using their electrical skills to give the Wham Stadium sports bar’s ceiling a makeover.

They offered to install new electrics in the ceiling, replace the old ceiling tiles and install new spotlights – all at their own cost.

“The club enjoys some fantastic support from local businesses that are a true part of the Accrington Stanley community, just as much as our supporters are,” said Stanley owner Andy Holt. “WM Dyer have carried out the work to refurbish the sports bar ceiling at no cost to the club, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

“What really pleases me though is that we seem to have converted William from a lifelong Burnley fan to a Stanley supporter!”

WM Dyer Electrical is the sponsor of the Wham Stadium’s recently refurbished Clayton End stand, now a standing terrace. The nationwide electrical contractor, with its headquarters in Accrington, signed a three year sponsorship deal with the club this summer.

WM Dyer Electrical’s Managing Director William Dyer said:

“As a Hyndburn business, we’re proud to be associated with the club – the community spirit that surrounds it is infectious. I spotted something at the Wham Stadium that we could lend our talents to fix and my team just got stuck in.”

In recognition of William Dyer’s generous gesture, Accrington Stanley Manager John Coleman has presented him with a framed photograph from last month’s EFL Cup win over Burnley, signed by Stanley’s players.
