Accrington Stanley have received planning permission for a new stand at the Wham Stadium.
Plans for a new structure along the whinney hill side of the ground had been submitted and were passed at a meeting of Hyndburn Borough Council today.
The new 1500 capacity stand will have modern spectator facilities in the concourse and the potential to be split to accommodate home and away supporters.
The single-tier stand is also future-proofed with the possibility of adding corporate entertainment boxes and facilities built into its design.
The club is delighted to receive this planning permission.
There is currently plenty of redevelopment going on around the ground and work on a new whinney hill stand can now be scheduled into that programme.
More details and time frames will be announced in due course.
