Accrington Stanley’s Emirates FA Cup second round clash at Portsmouth will take place on Saturday 5th December at 3pm.

The Reds have been drawn against their fellow League Two promotion rivals at Fratton Park and it will see John Coleman once more pit his wits against former Stanley bosses Paul Cook and Leam Richardson, now in charge at Pompey.

“We will go there full of confidence,” said Coleman. “When the draw first came out I was unsure but, when I have thought about it, it’s one of the biggest games we could have in financial terms in this round.

“It will be a difficult tie for us – but it will be a difficult tie for them as well.”

The sides drew 0-0 in a league encounter earlier this season.
