John Coleman has called this a ‘big week’ for Accrington Stanley in their promotion push.

The fifth placed Reds take on league leaders Plymouth on Saturday followed by back-to-back home games against AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday and Dagenham and Redbridge the following Saturday.

“We don’t fear anyone in the league and we have proved we can compete with the teams at the top end of the table,” said Coleman.

“We have done well away from home and we have got to take our away form and build on it and consolidate it with our home form.

“It is a big week as there are nine points up for grabs and, if you take nine points, it will catapult you up the league and that’s what we have got to try and do.

“We’ve said from day one that if you act like champions around the place and in training and believe you’re champions on the pitch, you generally start playing like champions and that’s what we try to do.”

The Reds have won their last three away games, only conceding one goal, but Coleman knows it will be tough at pacesetters Plymouth.

“It’s very difficult to win every game you play but you should aspire to win every game.

“We lost to Oxford and that could have gone either way on a toss of a coin. What you have got to do, as all good teams do, is make sure one defeat doesn’t became two and we proved that this week with our win at Barnet.

“Away from home we seem to be looking more dangerous on the counter, there’s far more space to attack the opposition than there is at home and we have to take advantage of that.”
