John Coleman wants thrills and spills from his side in tomorrow’s clash with Exeter City.

The Reds boss has been delighted with the way his defence have tightened up this season and are currently one of the meanest in League Two with just four goals conceded in their seven games.

However Stanley are also one of the lowest goalscorers, with five goals, and that’s an area Coleman is now focusing on.

“I am delighted with us defensively, we are the joint lowest in the league for goals conceded and if we carry that through to the end of the season, we will make the play-offs,” said Coleman.

“But I am disappointed we are not scoring enough goals. I think as a fan and I want us to be entertaining, I want everyone to be on the edge of the seats – or in my case the wall! – and I want us to play attractive football, make chances and have thrills and spills.

“I know you can’t have everything but that is something we are striving for.”

He is hoping to see it tomorrow against the Grecians who have started well and have won four of their seven league encounters so far.

“Paul Tisdale plays the game similar to us and so it should be an entertaining and attractive game.

“After four pleasing points on our travels, we need to win our home games and we need to be on the front foot, start brightly and be forceful going forward.

“We haven’t shown going forward what I know we can do but hopefully it will come tomorrow.”
