Stanley youngster Max Hazeldine has joined Stockport County on loan.

The 18-year-old will stay with the National League North outfit for an initial month.

It’s a first taste of first team football for the youth product, who is relishing the chance to get some regular game time having signed his first professional deal in the summer.

“The gaffer called me into his office and told me I’d been doing well in training and that Stockport’s manager had watched me in a training game we’d had and that they wanted to give me the opportunity to go out and get a few games for a month,” said the forward.

“I’m from just up the road and used to watch Stockport as a young lad so it’s a good move for me.”

“Max has been on fire in training recently and this is a great chance for him to take the next step,” added Stanley boss John Coleman. “There’s no substitute for first team experience and hopefully this month will give him that. It’s a good situation for everyone.”

Max could make his County debut in tomorrow’s game with Brackley at Edgeley Park.
