Accrington Stanley are looking for a new commercial partner to share the limelight with one of football’s most famous names.

We’re on the lookout for a company to sponsor the first team shirts and give their name to the stadium from January 2016.

It’s a great opportunity for a brand to get themselves seen in the national and local media and be associated with the “Biggest Little Club in the World”.

The current deal, with East Lancashire based nationwide self-storage chain Store First, is due to expire at the end of this year and we’re keen to get the ball rolling finding our next partner.

“We have had a fantastic partnership with Store First over the last few years and we will continue to work with them in different ways thanks to the strong bonds we’ve built together,” said Stanley Chairman Peter Marsden.

“We’re now looking to build a brand new commercial relationship to take us into 2016 and beyond. Sponsoring our kit and stadium offers excellent exposure for the right company, whether that’s through regional and national press, Sky TV matches, various gaming platforms via FIFA and radio coverage too.”

Former Stanley Director Murray Dawson, who is managing director of Scott Dawson Advertising is helping with the search.

“Stanley is one of the most famous clubs in the world, it punches way above its League 2 weight in terms of media exposure and public awareness as the enduring popularity of the famous 80s milk advert proves,” he said. “It’s a fantastic association for the right company and we’re on board to help the club find that partnership to take them to the next level.”

The club is looking for an annual six-figure sum for the shirt and stadium sponsorship deal on a three-year contract.
