Stanley striker James Gray has joined Northampton Town on loan.
The 22-year-old will stay with the League Two outfit until the end of the season.
The Northern Ireland under 21 international has made 20 appearances for the Reds this season, scoring five times.
He heads to Sixfields in search of more regular first team football.
“It’s an opportunity for him to play,” said manager John Coleman. “I know myself from my time as a player that I just wanted to play and he’s no different. He wants to play so why would you deny him the opportunity? He’s been struggling to get into our side and has the opportunity to go to Northampton so I hope he goes there, does well and ultimately forces his way back into our side.
“There’s no doubt he remains in our thoughts. If he goes and plays games he can catapult himself back into our plans.”
Everyone at Accrington Stanley wishes James all the best for his loan spell.
