John Coleman thinks tomorrow’s clash with York will be tougher than playing the teams at the top of the league.

Russ Wilcox’s side are in a relegation fight but have already chalked up a win against the Reds on Boxing Day.

York come to the Store First Stadium with a win a priority while Coleman is not accepting his 17th side are safe yet – they have an eight point gap above 21st placed City.

“I think this will be a tougher game than the ones we have played recently against Burton and Wycombe,” said Coleman.

“York are fighting for their lives and we have to be mindful that they beat us at their place.

“People are saying we are safe but I am not taking anything for granted. I think we still need a couple of wins to take the pressure off us.

“We have played some great football in the last few games and it doesn’t reflect in the points we have got.

“We are currently on 45 points with nine games left and I am looking at 60+ points. I think we have a team who are more than capable of this with the games we have left.”

Stanley are back at home after two tough away trips to promotion chasing Burton and Wycombe.

“It’s nice to be back home, it certainly seems a while. Our home form has been quite good and we need to make sure we start well, get on the front foot and entertain.”

Coleman admits he does have half an eye on next season and is currently talking over new contracts with players.

“You do have to look forward, you would want to put it off but it’s a necessary evil. It does serve up a load of headaches but it’s part of the job,” added the Reds boss.
