Marcus Carver returns to the starting line-up for today’s clash with Northampton Town.

The striker replaces Shay McCartan who drops to the bench.

With Tom Aldred gone, Seamus Conneely and Rob Atkinson start as the defensive pairing for the second game running.

The Reds are looking to halt a run of three successive defeats while Accrington-born Joel Byrom starts for the Cobblers, who have won their last three games.

The game had been in doubt due to the weather  but the Stanley  groundstaff and volunteers have done a tremendous job to clear the snow off the pitch.
