John Coleman has made five changes to his side for this afternoon’s game with table-topping Wycombe Wanderers.
The manager has been forced into one of those as loanee goalkeeper Jack Rose misses out with a hip injury, allowing Luke Simpson to take his place between the posts with Andrew Dawber named as the substitute goalkeeper after being recalled from his loan spell with Clitheroe.
John O’Sullivan and Sean Maguire return to the team for the last game of their loan spells from Blackburn Rovers and West Ham United respectively. O’Sullivan has overcome the groin problem sustained in last weekend’s 3-2 victory at Portsmouth to play this afternoon.
Nicky Hunt returns to the side at right-back, meaning that Dean Winnard switches over to left back whilst Michael Liddle is dropped to the bench along with Piero Mingoia and Matt Crooks.
Striker Marcus Carver drops out of the matchday squad after starting the FA Cup replay at Yeovil on Tuesday night with Kal Naismith starting as the lone striker in Coleman’s favoured 4-2-3-1 formation.
Former Stanley men Joe Jacobson and Peter Murphy both start for the Chairboys.
Stanley: Simpson; Hunt, Aldred, Atkinson, Winnard; Joyce, Procter; McCartan Maguire, O’Sullivan; Naismith.
Subs: Dawber, Liddle, Barry, Mingoia, Molyneux, Crooks, Gray.
