Stanley boss John Coleman knows that an FA Cup third round tie with Manchester United will be on everyone’s minds in tonight’s replay at Yeovil but believes his players will be able to concentrate on the job in hand.

The game at Huish Park must be decided tonight, with the winners hosting Louis van Gaal’s men.

Coleman isn’t thinking that far ahead but is well aware of how big the incentives are to come out on top this evening in Somerset.

“We know the prize,” he said. “It’s the glory that the players can achieve and the feeling of competing against a top Premier League side. The players know the financial implications for the club and there’s no hiding from that but the players can’t get sidetracked and use too much nervous energy thinking about it.

“Our players have had experience of a big, vociferous crowd on Saturday (at Portsmouth) and we’re expecting the same tonight. It’ll be a large crowd, noisy and passionate and first hand experience of that in the last few days should stand us in good stead. I just hope we can play to the best of our ability because I think that we can give them a game if we do.”

The teams drew 1-1 at the Store First Stadium ten days ago with Tom Aldred cancelling out Jordan Clarke’s goal in a game which saw Stanley create plenty of chances.

Coleman expects Yeovil to be a different animal this time around though.

“We’ve seen them first hand, we know how they play and we expect them to be more of a threat at home,” he revealed. “They’ll obviously be buoyed by a great win at the weekend, as we have been. It’s chance for both teams to have a go at each other and whoever comes out of it will deserve the prize that they get. The one who doesn’t still has a league campaign to focus on.

“The first game can’t have an impact. Whatever’s gone on has gone on. We have to just focus on this game, the 90 minutes, 30 extra minutes if it’s extra time and the penalties if needed.

“We know what we need to do, we know we’ve got good players and obviously I’ve got to tinker with the side because of the restrictions I have with the loan players but I think we’ll come up with a side that will give it a good shot.”
