ACCRINGTON Stanley boss John Coleman says it’s a massive boost to have winger Kal Naismith back in training.

Naismith has returned to Accrington after missing the last three weeks following the sudden death of his girlfriend in Scotland.

“Kal has trained this week and now it’s a case of assessing his fitness more than anything else,” said Coleman.

“He has shown a good appetite for training and he is a great character and it’s good to have him back around the place.

“It is hard as everyone reacts differently but it can only do him good to be back among his mates.”

Right back Nicky Hunt will miss Sunday’s trip to Notts County as he picked up his fifth booking of the season in the 92nd minute in the 2-1 win over Morecambe.

“He will be missed,” said Coleman. “He has been great since I have been here and he has impressed me with his professionalism and his attitude.

“He has also put in some really good performances so he will be missed.”

Midfielder Anthony Barry will also sit out the FA Cup clash with an injury picked up in the 1-1 draw at Newport.
