Accrington Stanley manager John Coleman has completed the permanent signing of free agent Craig Roddan.
The midfielder has signed a short term deal with the Reds after training with the club for the past few weeks.
The 21-year-old had a short spell on loan at the Store First Stadium last season from Liverpool before he was released by the Premier League side in the summer.
“He’s impressed with his attitude in training,” explained Coleman. “He played against Manchester United (in the Lancashire Cup) the other week and played really well and I think he can offer us something different.
“It’s important to have him with Anthony Barry suffering an injury at the moment and it’s a chance for him to have another go and I know he’s keen to take it.
“We have to fill a hole in our squad and he fits the bill. I’ve got no problems with playing him if I have to.”
Roddan goes straight into the squad for Sunday’s FA Cup tie with Notts County.
