JOHN Coleman is expected to field a strong side when Stanley take on Manchester United Under 21s tomorrow night at the Store First Stadium in the Lancashire Senior Cup.

Coleman says new loan signing Lee Molyneux will play some part in the first round cup clash while striker James Gray, suspended for the last three games, will also get a run out in the game, which kicks off at 7pm.

There will be other first teamers making an appearance while trialist Craig Roddan, a midfielder from Liverpool who spent a month on loan at Stanley in January, will also get his turn in the side.

“It should be an exciting game,” said Coleman. “I will field a strong side with nine first teamers who will play either the full game or part of it.

“For me, this is about getting some fitness into our players who haven’t played as much as perhaps they would have liked.

“But we are also playing Manchester United and it will be good experience for both sets of players.

“I think Manchester United will be pleasantly surprised coming to our ground about how good our pitch is – they might not say the same about the changing rooms though!”

Rising United star Adnan Januzaj and £30m defender Luke Shaw are both eligible for United’s Under 21 team, managed by Warren Joyce, with a number of first team stars returning from injury all possible participants in the cup clash.

Prices, pay on the gate, are:

Adults £5
Concessions + Students £3
Accompanied U12’s £1

The tie will go straight to penalties after 90 minutes if it is a draw.
