Young Stanley defender Liam Goulding has joined Evo Stik Premier Division side Belper Town on loan.

The former youth team captain, who signed his first professional contract in the summer, will stay at Christchurch Meadow for three months.

Goulding was a regular for the Reds in pre-season and scored in the Lancashire Cup defeat to Manchester United earlier this month.

“This is a great chance for Liam to go out and get some games under his belt,” said manager John Coleman. “We’re sure he’ll do a good job at Belper and the experience will be invaluable for him.”

Goulding is the third Stanley player to head out to a non-league side on loan this season, with striker James Jenkins at Padiham and goalkeeper Andrew Dawber currently playing for Clitheroe.
