Accrington Stanley Community Trust start our third year of our Futsal Education Scholarships on Monday 1st September 2014. We have a couple of places remaining for our new first year cohort.

Staying at School or going to college is not always the right choice for everyone, but you can still gain a first class education that will get you to university by choosing neither of those. If the idea of staying on at school or going to college is not for you, then why not consider studying your education here at Accrington Stanley and playing Futsal for the club?

The course is based at Accrington Stanley Football Club in the newly refurbished hospitality lounge, with all matches taking place at the regional Futsal Arena in Leeds. The hospitality lounge is a non-traditional learning environment situated in the football stadium and is equipped with the latest laptop computers and other digital equipment to aid learning in unique ways.

WHAT IS THE COURSE?

• Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in Sport – Equivalent to 3 A-Levels.

• Full time 2 year course based at Accrington Stanley Football Club.

• 10 hours of education per week.

• 4/8 hours of Futsal per week including training and matches.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• Available to males aged 16, 17 or 18 who have achieved their GCSE’s.

• A minimum of 4 GCSE’s or equivalent at C or above. Special dispensation may be available to people who don’t quite achieve this.
