James Beattie has added goalkeeper Jay Lynch to his squad ahead of tomorrow’s season opener with Southend United.

The former Bolton man was a free agent and has joined on non-contract terms.

21-year-old Lynch had been involved in Bolton’s match day squad in both the Premier League and Championship but never made a first team appearance.

He joins Luke Simpson. also signed this week, as an available goalkeeping option.

The deal is subject to Football League ratification
