For the 2014/15 season Accrington Stanley will once again be offering work experience placements to media students and graduates.
This is a unique opportunity to gain real world experience of working within the press office at a Football League club and build up a portfolio of your work and all important contacts within the industry.
The successful applicants will have the opportunity to contribute to the range of official club publications and media over the course of the season.
The placements will begin at the beginning of the new Football League season in August and run until approximately May 2015.
Previous beneficiaries of this scheme have gone on to work in football club press offices as well as for local and national media covering football, making this a great stepping stone for those looking for a career in sports journalism.
We are looking for a range of interns across a broad spectrum of skill sets, including to work with video, pictures, audio and the written word.
If you are based a long way from Accrington this is not necessarily a stumbling block; in the past interns based away from Lancashire have been invaluable in helping to cover away games for the club’s official website.
