Stanley manager James Beattie believes his side could have taken all three points after their goalless draw against Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park.
The Reds had two decent opportunities late on to steal the a win which would have been their sixth in their last eight games on the road.
And Beattie says he is proud of his side’s ever improving displays.
He said: “Towards the end I think there was only one team that was going to score and that was us.
“I’m delighted with the discipline shown by the players and it’s a well earned point.
“We were hard to beat and when you come away to big stadiums you have to quieten the crowd down and we did that.”
Stanley now face high-flying Scunthorpe United at the Store First Stadium on Friday evening.
The stalemate in Buckinghamshire means the Lancashire side are now unbeaten in their last four matches and Beattie is hoping his men can take that momentum into their next clash.
He added: “At the moment we’re hard to beat and I can’t compliment Marcus Bettinelli enough, when called upon today he did his job again.
“We have some great players on the bench and it’s one of the best squads Stanley have ever seen.
“We’re looking harder to beat now and due to the circumstances I’m happy with a point going into next week.”
