Marcus Carver has made the perfect start to life in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League after starring in his opening two games for AFC Fylde.
The young Stanley forward has netted three goals in two appearances, including a brace in Tuesday evening’s Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy semi-final tie win over Nelson.
Carver, who will remain with the Coasters until January, is in fine form, after netting two goals in Barrow’s FA Trophy win at Chester last month.
It’s been a less prosperous week for fellow loanee George Miller who was substituted last weekend in Chester’s 2-0 reverse against Braintree at the Exacta stadium.
The defeat was the club’s third consecutive loss in all competitions and leaves Chester second from bottom in the Skrill Premier.
