Back in November, the Accrington Stanley Community Trust Futsal Scholars were given the opportunity to attend trials for the Futsal Regional Centre of Excellence, at Belle Vue in Manchester.

The trials are attended by England coaches who assess the players on tactical and technical aspects to their game. Due to their fantastic attitude, commitment, progression and playing ability, Allan Phillipson and Chris Mullen, the Futsal Education Officer and Futsal Coach respectively within the trust, chose to send second years, Luke Lyons and Tinashe Chatukuta along with first years Kiko Binns and George Carter.

The fantastic news, as of yesterday, was that Kiko and George both received call backs to the next round of trials, with both of them having a real chance of becoming part of the North West England regional Futsal Squad for the coming season.

It has been a great month for Stanley Futsal, with A and B Squads currently doing very well in their Football League Trust North West Division, Kiko and another first year Lewis Gregson making the FLT Trust team of the month and this wonderful piece of news for both Kiko and George.

It just goes to show what hard work really can do. Keep up the fantastic effort lads!
