Peter Murphy’s second stoppage time goal in seven days gave Stanley a point against Wycombe Wanderers.
The Reds trailed to Anthony Stewart’s second half goal but Murphy smashed home his fourth of the season from inside the box to give James Beattie’s side a share of the spoils.
Beattie was forced into one change for the game with Laurence Wilson replacing the injured Lee Naylor at left back.
And the Reds started well with James Gray forcing an early corner before seeing a shot blocked on the edge of the area.
It was a first half of few chances, played in a strong wind and intermittent rain but the visitors felt they should have had a penalty after eleven minutes after Marcus Bettinelli had saved from Paris Cowan-Hall and then dived at the feet of Matt McClure as he looked to follow up.
The Fulham loanee produced another good stop to keep out a strike from the edge of the D from Stuart Lewis before at the other end Gray headed Nicky Hunt’s right wing cross wide of the target.
As half time loomed Kal Naismith then tested Matt Ingram in the Wycombe goal but the whistle had actually sounded before he struck the shot and it would not have counted.
After the break the conditions worsened with a storm descending on the Store First Stadium and both sides found it hard to find their rhythm. Wycombe’s Dean Morgan created a good chance when he skipped around Bettinelli but could only find the side netting as the stalemate prevailed.
Stanley’s best opportunity to take the lead fell to Gray, who dispossessed a defender and raced through one on one only to see Ingram push out his low shot.
Bettinelli was in fine form, clawing out Marvin McCoy’s drive and keeping out McClure’s effort from the rebound but it was to be a temporary reprieve.
The visitors took the lead with 19 minutes left; Josh Scowen’s left wing corner dropped to Stewart at the back post and the centre back hammered the ball off the inside of the post and into the net.
Beattie’s side pressed for a leveller, with Ingram saving from Piero Mingoia and Kal Naismith smashing a free kick over the top.
It looked like the Stanley fans would head home disappointed but with three of four added minutes gone sub George Bowerman crossed from the left, the defence couldn’t deal with the ball and Murphy drilled home to lift Stanley off the foot of League Two.
