This weekend Stanley’s Youth Side face an away trip to Morecambe as they look to get back to winning ways.

Stanley’s last win was three weeks ago when they beat Burnley 1-0, but since then they’ve had an unfortunate 1-0 loss away to Preston and most recently a frustrating 3-3 home draw with Wigan.

This weekend’s trip will see Stanley face a Morecambe side who are currently bottom of the Youth Alliance with only two points to show from their ten games so far. The Shrimps come into the game on the back of a heavy 6-1 defeat against Burnley last weekend and they’ll be desperate to avoid a similar scoreline again.

Despite being bottom of the pile in the league, Stanley know better than most that Morecambe won’t be pushovers. The two sides met in the Youth Alliance Cup at the start of October and Morecambe ran out 3-2 winners in their only victory of the season so far.

Dalian Barker scored twice for Accrington last week and he’ll be hoping that he can do the same again this week to put pressure on Max Hazeldine who currently tops Stanley’s goalscoring charts.

The game is an 11am kick off tomorrow morning and we’ll have minute by minute updates on twitter at @ASFCyouth.
