This weekend sees Stanley’s Youth side head down the M65 to play Preston North End as they look for their first back to back wins of the season.
The Reds head into the game on the back of a 1-0 home win to Burnley, their third of the season, secured by a Max Hazeldine goal in the second half. The win didn’t see Stanley climb any places in the league but the table looks a lot tighter with only 3 points separating Port Vale in 6th and Fleetwood in 14th.
Preston North End come into the game with Stanley without a win in their last four games including 3 losses but they are still sitting pretty, 4th in the league and only 3 points off the top spot. Their latest result was a 2-1 defeat to 14th placed Fleetwood Town, a side that sit just below Stanley in the table.
The game will be played at Chorley FC, Victory Park, Chorley, PR7 3DU. Kick-off is at a slightly earlier time of 10.30am and live match updates will be available on twitter through @ASFCyouth
